Water Running Hour sessions. Maximum 6 people.

Looking for an effective way to exercise this winter?  Want to stay fit but  need to rehab an injury?  Can't face another moment on a boring treadmill?  Aqua Hut has the answer!

Try Deep Water Running! It's revolutionary, it's effective, it's fun, and it works!

Deep-water running consists of simulated running in the deep end of a pool while aided by a floatation belt that maintains the head above water.  Additional resistance equipment, such as webbed gloves, aqua “dumb bells”, wrist, ankle and/or foot cuffs, and tether cords can be used.  The form of running is patterned as closely as possible after the form on land. Submerged in the water, the body has resistance on all sides. This forces opposing muscles to work equally.  As you move your arms and legs against the resistance of the water, you get a great cardiovascular, strength, and toning workout.  Changing the speed and cadence of the movements can customize the intensity of the workout.

 
Over a decade of research has shown that the training effect of water running can be equal or greater than the same level of effort on land. But the biggest benefit is that a great workout can be accomplished without the painful wear and tear on joints.  The unique environment of water running helps reduce the risk of injury, and increases fitness levels in ways that cannot be accomplished with land exercise alone. 
 
An added benefit is that as you perform a water running workout, water massages your muscles with every movement of the arms and legs.  This increases circulation, promotes relaxation, and helps remove stress and tension.  Being submerged up to one’s shoulders or neck also produces physiological changes that help reduce metabolic waste, improve cardiac function, lower blood pressure, and assist the body in tissue healing.

      Private Water Workout or Personal Swim Training: $60 / hour
